The Ancient Ones is a series of One Woman Shows, where Valgerður seeks inspiration from the Sagas and Edda Poems, to recreate the story of some of the ancestresses of the Icelanders. The sisters Þórunn hyrna, settler in Eyjafjörður and Auður djúpúðga, settler in Dalir (in the west of Iceland) and the völva (prophetess) Heiður from the Edda Poem Völuspá, visit and tell their stories.
Each show is approximately 30 minutes with another 30 minutes discussion. The show is "available" both in Icelandic and English.
