As a prelude to the Forum Would you know more? A Conversation on Roots, the town of Akureyri will flourish with women's art exhibitions on roots and women's cultural heritage, most of them opening on June 17th. Mardöll in Ketilhúsið, where Lydia Ruyle with her Goddess Banners, will join the women of Mardöll in a celebration of our cultural roots.

In Populus Tremula a group of young artists will honor the Goddess of Art and Flóra (across the road) present Arna Vals' video-installation Local Fact 4.  ÁLFkonur present their photexhibit Roots in Goya Tapas Bar and in Mjólkurbúðin the women of Mardöll present their roots. In Deiglan there will be a women's books exhibit and in Gallerý + (Brekkugata 35) Guðrún Pálína expresses her Roots.

This is the prelude and the Forum opens Sunday June 19th at 1 pm in Ketilhúsið.
