To this Icelandic/Northern Forum on our roots we welcome presenters from all around the world, in all areas of life: activists, artists, academics, recognizing the need for a conversation on roots,
especially the re-membering of women‘s cultural heritage and how we can use this wisdom to build a future where women and men live in harmony with each other and Nature.
Presentations can be in words or actions, music or movements, happenings and exhibitions, on any topic related to our silenced wisdom, our roots and their necessity for a life in balance for future‘s generations. Stories, poems, singing, dancing and other artistic presentations, shamanic dreaming, rituals, panel and poster presentations, cooking, weaving, spinning and formal academic papers are just a few examples of contributions we look forward to hosting and sharing.
The main themes will be: womens‘s wisdom; indigenous wisdom; nature in balance;
All submissions must be received by February 15th 2011. Please send by email to mardoll@vanadis.is or by mail to Mardöll - organization for women‘s cultural heritage, c.o. Valgerður H. Bjarnadóttir, Þórunnarstræti 99, 600 Akureyri, Iceland
