The web of life - cultural roots and personal dreams

Vanadís and the Organisation of Learning Centres arrange a Grundtvig work-shop (see http://ec.europa.eu/education/grundtvig/doc872_en.htm ) for European women at Öngulsstaðir, Northern Iceland in October. The work-shop is in English and the target group is women in search of increased self-knowledge and connection to roots.
We will explore and connect to the life, roots and future visions of the learners through short lectures and various creative and introspective tools and stories. Tours in the natural landscape of Iceland to enhance connection to nature, self and one another, across cultures, personal differences and conflicts.
The work-shop is limited to 10 women. Those who have not had an opportunity earlier to study abroad will stand first in line. We will prioritise applicants from the following countries/areas: Sápmi, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Hungary, but we will consider all applications. Applicants must be able understand and express themselves in English.
Application dead-line is August 15th and the selection of participants will be clear by August 27th, to allow enough time to book travel etc.
For more information and to receive an application form please email Valgerður H. Bjarnadóttir at valgerdur@vanadis.is
